Atlanta United is my hometown club, and it’s where my career in the soccer industry truly began.
I joined in 2016 as a digital content intern and, by the club’s inaugural 2017 MLS season, became a full-time member of the digital team as the Social Media Coordinator.
I helped define the club’s brand voice from day one, launched and developed the Behind the Stripes series (still produced today), and worked across player announcements, releases, and daily storytelling.
I led production for the club’s 2017 Media Day, and traveled with the team on a weekly basis to capture real-time content across training sessions, matchdays, travel days, community events, and academy coverage.
I see this experience at the club similar to what I imagine a “master’s degree” in the U.S. soccer industry would be like. I got to work at one of the biggest professional sports franchises in the world, when it was just a start-up!
I had a front-row seat to everything behind the scenes: draft day decisions, coaches’ meetings, player dynamics, front-office operations, sponsor and sales integrations, broadcast management, agency relationships, and the inner workings of an expansion club building the foundation of MLS 3.0
I’ll forever be grateful for this opportunity to work at Atlanta United. It’s where I began drawing the map of where I want to take my career.
